A buffer tank is a valuable addition to your heat pump and home heating system. It increases the efficiency, comfort, safety and versatility of the system when heating your home, and also increases the service life of the equipment.

A mismatch between the heat pump's performance and heat demand can result in inefficient operation. The heat pump may turn on and off too frequently, reducing its efficiency and increasing energy consumption. The buffer tank serves as a reservoir for heated water, allowing the heat pump to operate more smoothly and efficiently. The pump can heat water into the tank in large portions and then gradually release the heat to the heating system, which reduces the number of on and off cycles. This increases the service life of the equipment and guarantees uniform, comfortable heating.
